At Hands and Feet Family Music, children are free to express themselves as they like! They may RUN, participate or not, roam the room, sing, dance or simply observe. Parents and other adults, however, are expected to participate and follow along to the best of their abilities! The class comes alive when adults joyfully participate, regardless of their musical abilities, and children are free to respond as they like! Spanish classes usually have the most energy. There are a few class expectations and safety exceptions, however, that keep everyone safe and smiling.
Plan to arrive 5-10 minutes early to each class and to stay the 45 minute duration of class
Avoid collisions with people and objects
Assist your children in making minimal contact with people and large objects
Child-to-child hugs are best when kept 3 seconds or shorter
Redirect unsafe behavior by temporarily exiting the room to take a breather instead of verbal correction
Hitting another - after 1st instance
Unwanted touch - after 2nd instance
Unsafe interaction with objects, such as crawling under tables - after 2nd instance
Sit while playing most instruments
